Occasionally a customer only wants to turn their attic space into a comfortable office, or a playroom for the kids. Without going through the planning process.
Whilst we always advise that gaining building warrants is the best route, sometimes the time it takes to go through the process, or available funds for the project, or in a lot of cases the lack of head height in the attic to comply with building regulations, means that a customer wants a room, and wants it as soon as possible at the least expense possible.
As the onus for gaining building warrants rest entirely with the homeowner and not the builders, we as builders are happy to give a customer what they want, as long as it complies with our high standards and are structurally sound.
The process for the construction of these office rooms are very much the same as if it were for a conversion with warrants so you can rest assured that you get exactly what you pay for.
These rooms can be accessed in a variety of ways, more often than not via a quality Fakro loft ladder, just the same as for our Ultimate storage options for new build homes. Or a space saver paddle staircase, or a bespoke full staircase. Each conversion is different as are customer’s needs.
